Move the tights gently through the water.

Focus on cleaning the garment rather than scrubbing the fabric.

Do Not Wring

Twisting wet tights tightly can place unnecessary stress on the fibers.

Instead, gently press out excess water.

Why Cold Water?

Elastic materials can be sensitive to excessive heat.

Cool water helps reduce unnecessary thermal stress while still allowing normal cleaning.

It can also be gentler on colored and patterned textiles.

Why You Should Not Use Bleach

Bleach can be aggressive on both textile fibers and color.

This is particularly important with art tights, where the relationship between different colors is part of the design.

Bleach may contribute to:

Do not bleach.

How to Dry Tights

After washing:

Line dry naturally in the shade.

Avoid hanging the tights in a way that places unnecessary weight on one small section of fabric.

Allow them to dry naturally in a ventilated area.

Do Not Tumble Dry

A tumble dryer combines:

heat + movement + friction

All three are unnecessary for delicate tights.

Repeated exposure to heat can be hard on elastic materials, while tumbling increases mechanical stress.

Avoid Prolonged Direct Sunlight

Sunlight is part of everyday life.

The goal is not to keep tights permanently away from it.

The issue is prolonged direct exposure, particularly during drying or storage.

Dry your tights in the shade whenever possible.

Do Not Dry Clean

Dry cleaning processes use solvents and treatments designed for many different types of garments.

For delicate elastic hosiery, this is generally unnecessary.

A gentle cold hand wash is the preferred method.
